Rising Stars – The Stars of Tomorrow
The “Rising Stars – The Stars of Tomorrow” subscription series is like taking an annual look into the magical crystal ball – a look into the future, although many of the rising stars have often already established themselves by the time they perform or at least impressively justified their nomination. No wonder because the selectors are Europe's major concert halls, so you would expect their forecasts to be reliable. In the case of British trombonist Peter Moore – in 2008 at the age of 12 the youngest ever winner of the BBC Young Musician Competition and only six years later principal trombonist with the London Symphony Orchestra – the jury can hardly have had any doubts in their minds. It's a similar picture with the French Quatuor Arod and harpist Anaïs Gaudemard, both award-winners in the prestigious ARD Music Competition. The Amatis Trio travel to Cologne on the urgent recommendation of the Beaux Arts Trio, and thanks to excellent testimonials we welcome cellist Kian Soltani and pianist Mario Häring as well as baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé accompanied on piano by Ian Tindale. Hear the future here first!
