Travelling by bus and rail

Situated approx. 5 minutes on foot from Cologne's main railway station, the Kölner Philharmonie - the only "concert hall with its own rail platform" - is easily reached using public transport: Furthermore, your Philharmonie admission ticket also serves as your return ticket when travelling on the regional Rhine-Sieg (VRS) transport network.

Vom Dom/Hauptbahnhof aus

Steigen Sie am Hauptbahnhof aus. Gehen Sie über den Haupteingang auf den Bahnhofsvorplatz, dort die Treppen hoch Richtung Kölner Dom. Wenden Sie sich nach links und gehen Sie um den Ostchor des Doms Richtung Museumskomplex. Der Weg führt zwischen dem Museum Ludwig (linkerhand) und dem Römisch-Germanischen Museum (rechterhand) hindurch. Wenden Sie sich nach wenigen Metern nach links und gehen Sie die Treppe nach unten zum Haupteingang der Kölner Philharmonie.

Vom Heumarkt aus

Steigen Sie am Heumarkt aus und gehen Sie an der Längsseite des Heumarkts Richtung Altstadt/Dom. Überqueren Sie geradeaus den Alter Markt. Halten Sie sich weiter geradeaus Richtung Museum Ludwig/Tunneldurchfahrt, dann gelangen Sie direkt zum Haupteingang der Kölner Philharmonie.

Parkplätze

If you are planning to travel by car, you can use the Philharmonie car park for the special price of € 2.50 for up to one and a half hours before and for up to two hours after the concert: Just present your concert ticket and carpark ticket to the carpark attendant or pay at the ticket machine.

Follow the signs to Dom/Hauptbahnhof, as soon as you are in the city centre, signs show you the way to the concert hall.

Umweltplakette

Please notice: Since 1st January 2008 a Low Emission Zone has been introduced in Cologne. As the Kölner Philharmonie ist located in this zone, visitors arriving by car will require a fine particles sticker (exept for vehicles driven by or for people who have a mobility disability, are helpless or blind, and can prove this with a disabled person's pass with the letters "aG", "H" or "Bl").
